CHAPTER 8

"Hey Crawd!" Suddenly, someone called out for his name. Crawd felt devastated for being interrupted by this man. He looked at whoever is it just to see his best friend, Jake, who's, for some reason, looking at him like he did some vexatious thing.

He raised his eyebrows silently asking Jake what is his problem. The man also widen his eyes and look at Ava before looking at him again. Crawd shrugged his shoulders saying that he doesn’t know what really happened for him to get this girl’s attention. Jake’s eyes blackened after.

He, as a matter of fact, also had his eyes on this girl. Ava is one of those students who is almost perfect. She is smart, beautiful and friendly. He couldn’t believe what is in front of him! The girl he is eyeing on is now drying his friend’s jaw which is splattered with water flowing down his chest. He couldn’t help but clench his jaws together.

Ava seemed to acknowledge his presence as her eyes look over his direction. There was curiosity and questions in her eyes as if asking, ‘who is he’ and ‘what is he doing there watching them’, which made him more annoyed. He can, literally, say that the girl doesn’t recognize him.

He approach them, not taking away his eyesight with Ava which made the girl, probably, think that he is asking for a competition in staring. He nodded to Crawd before looking again at her.

"Ava, right?" He asked her pretending like he doesn't know her existence like her to him.

The girl smiled before putting down her handkerchief from wiping Crawd's jawline before extending her right hand asking for a shake hands.

"I am Ava Walker. You are Jake Hudson, right? Our family has been friends for years now but this is the first time I've got the chance to talk to you. Nice meeting you." She utter.

Jake accepted it as he nodded before looking at Crawd again.

"Something happened?" He asked them while directly looking at Crawd, accusing him of an unknown thing.

"Nothing. He looks like he is searching for his water a while ago. Crawd doesn't seem to be able to find it so I did my best to give him some of my water. He might be so thirsty that he coughed some of it." She explained.

But learning these things, Jake still is in question of his best buddy's actions. Crawd cleared his throat before standing up.

"You guys want to eat outside?" He suddenly invited them.

Jake was shock as he look at Ava to Crawd continuously. Crawd look at Ava before smiling. Ava widen his eyes as well as raising her eyebrows as an answer. She doesn’t really know if she could.

But if I really was able to be with them, this could start as a friendship between us.

She smiled before acting like she is thinking about it.

"What if I ask my father first? Then, if he said yes, I will join you guys!" She said before smiling.

The two guys look at each other before calling their parents also. They know that going outside will be a great advantage for each of their families also.

Of course, the parents of this three families were shocked. Who would have thought that they could have the ties they've been waiting for by just this single invitation between children. Their parents, then, gladly made sure that the will be safe for this after school trip their children would have.

Ava laugh after this. "I am really sorry. My father is so overbearing." She apologized while watching ten bodyguards from her father.

"Oh, don't be. I am pretty sure our parents also took it too far." Crawd said while looking over the 10 bodyguards from his family and with Jake. He was also informed for having disguised bodyguards around them.

Meanwhile, in Bill's office, his secretary is smiling at the good mood CEO. Bill has been laughing and saying that his daughter, Ava, really brings out some luck. He is trying to cooperate with the Williams these months for a project and now their children became friends, it could be really beneficial to all of them. This just mean that having businesses together with the three of them will be more stabilize.

"You prepare all the handouts. Tomorrow morning, you will make sure to close this deal." Bill instruct.

The three of them rode in a Rolls-Royce Sweptail, a car owned by Jake. It was given to him by grandfather as a birthday gift and such. Ava knew all of this because Jake hasn't stop talking since he saw the car. He is really excited and proud about it even though he haven't drive it yet because he is under age. He has a driver s***h bodyguard to drive it for him. She just couldn't help but roll her eyes to this guy.

What a show-off!

Crawd seemed to notice this as he deliberately change the topic by asking her what does she wants to do. Ava really think about her answer. She wanted the guys to also enjoy so it is better to choose something that guys would be fond of.

"Do you guys know some bowling area here? I've been really wanting to try bowling. I haven't play it till now." She answered after a while.

"Oh! There is a bowling club nearby and they also serve some foods." Jake informed them.

"Then, we'll go there." Crawd answered before smiling to her.

Is it me or I don't really need to effort much on this mission? Ava thought to herself.

When they arrived, Jake completely lead them. It seems like he is a regular customer here for he also knew all the employees and they treat them all good.

"I am really good at this, you know. My cousins cannot beat me." Crawd said before posing like some professional bowling athlete before throwing the ball and hitting...None.

Jake chuckle after this while Crawd look to see Ava's expression. He is embarrassed and wants to see if Ava is also laughing at him but when he saw her trying to cheer him up, his heart lightens. As a result, he did it in a , 'Spare'.
