“What makes you think that?" Joshua lifted an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with curiosity. “Well, first, I walked by a room with double doors down the hallway—it looked like the master bedroom, but it doesn't look like you're staying there," I explained. “Second, I saw guards stationed in the garden. Being a Shadow Guard yourself I thought you wouldn't need that kind of security detail. So who are you all protecting?" I tapped my fingers lightly on the table as I spoke. “The only person I could think of is the Alpha, and that master bedroom is reserved for him." A small, amused smile tugging at the corner of Joshua's lips. “Not bad. Good observation." I glanced at him, gauging his reaction. “But you've just confirmed that this is your house. So does it mean… the Alpha visits here often?"
