With trembling hands, Zac slowly let go of the doctor's collar as he lowered his gaze and looked down at his feet with teary eyes.
"C-Can...Can I see her?" Zac asked in a hushed tone.
"Yes, of course. Please take your time," the doctor answered and stepped aside so Zac can enter the room where Giuliana is currently lying down with a white sheet covered over her body.
Giuliana...are you really...gone? Zac thought to himself without moving from where he is standing because he still could not accept what the doctor said to him. But then, he also knew to himself that he must go inside and see his wife once again.
