Draven I take Marnie’s hand and lead her off the dance floor. I’m not sure where Alessia is. Lorenzo points me toward Alessia’s study through the double doors at the back of the room. I knock on the door and walk in without waiting for a reply. Alessia smiles at me from her seat beside the open window. “Draven,” She rises from her chair and kisses my cheek. “I’m sorry I had to sneak out of the party. This house is beautiful; it’s why I chose it when my husband told me I could have my dream home.” She giggles. “But I fear it’s not big enough for all these people. I’m feeling a little claustrophobic.” I narrow my eyes slightly; this house is not small. In fact, it’s bigger than mine. It’s a mansion, for Christ’s sake. I understand Alessia feeling claustrophobic with this many people here;
