25 -Thieves will be punished!

1399 Words
Draven “Please, Mr. Vidal! Please don’t make me do this.” The sniveling mess at my feet disgusts me. I hate thieves, especially dishonest ones. What I don’t like is having to chase these people. Eldon Myers shouldn’t have been here, but as he is, he has the honor of teaching his son why stealing from the Don is wrong. “When I tell you to do something, you do it.” I nod to Lorenzo. He grabs the back of Chaz Myers’ head and slams it into his own dining table. Tony holds his hand down. Chaz doesn’t even struggle, smart man knows it’s pointless. I crouch down in front of Eldon. It’s not brave to cry like a baby in front of me; I have no emotions for it. It will not make me think twice about what I’m doing. Begging for someone’s life will only anger me and make their death a lot more painful. I haven’t asked for Chaz’s death, not yet, anyway. I asked only that his father teach him a lesson. However, his father is pissing me off, and I will kill his son if he doesn’t shut the fuc.k up! I hold out a sharp dagger to Eldon. “Either you teach your son a lesson and sever two of his thieving fingers from his hand, or I will blow his brains out right here and right now. The choice is yours.” “I don’t understand what he’s supposed to have stolen.” I smirk. I don’t need to tell this man anything, and I don’t intend to. I’ll leave him wondering what his precious son did to earn the wrath of Don Vidal. I don’t push people or drugs, but I do push guns and ammo, along with other things. This little fuc.k decided to take a shipment of guns from my private dock and try to sell them. He should have done his homework better before thinking he’d even get out of the docks with what was mine. He knew he’d been found out when Tony arrived. One of his little pals ratted him out, and he went on the run. You can’t run for long from a man like me. I have too many connections and many people who will easily trace you. Chaz Myers is no one special, just some punk who runs deliveries for me now and again. How he got information about my shipments is another story. He won’t die here today; my men will take him to the warehouse and get that information out of him by any means necessary. Only then will I end his lying, thieving life! “Dad! Just do it!” “No! I can’t hurt my own son!” I get to my feet and sigh. “Pity.” I take my gun from my belt and put it to the back of Chaz’s head. “I guess I’ll just have to...” “No, wait! Please!” Eldon rushes to get to his feet with the dagger in his hand. “Please don’t kill my boy. I’ll do what you want.” Eldon Myers swallows hard with snot running down his nose and mouth. My men hold his son down, and Eldon takes a deep breath. I hold mine to see if he’ll go through with it. “ARGH!” Chaz screams. I am so fuckin.g impressed right now, the old fuc.k actually did it. It’s incredible what people will do when they have no choice. Eldon drops the dagger, eyes wide, and looks at the damage he’s done to his son’s hand. Tony looks at me and smirks. I nod my head, and Tony and Lorenzo drag Chaz away while Eldon screams for them to bring him back. “You!” Eldon screams at me, dagger pointed right at my chest. Poor, sad, deluded motherfuckin.g idio.t. “How could you do that?! You made me cut my son's fingers off! You promised you wouldn’t kill him, and you still took him away!” “He deserves to die. As for his fingers… In some countries, cutting a thief’s fingers off would be the least of their worries. Maybe you should have taught your son not to be a fool, Eldon.” I tisk mockingly while shaking my head. “No one steals from me and gets away with it. No one points a weapon at me and lives either.” His maddening eyes stare straight through me. Eldon wants to drive that dagger into my heart. He won’t do it; he doesn’t have the bottle. Men like him never do. “I know what you’re thinking.” I fold my arms across my chest, and I sense Tony to the side of me with his gun drawn. He’s never far away from me. “Let my son go, or I’ll kill you.” I shake my head. “No can do. See, when you stand in front of the Don brandishing a knife, you die. As for your son? I’m going to enjoy tearing his thieving, disrespectful body limb from limb!” “You think you’re so smart. Don’t you, Draven Vidal? Well, guess what? You ain’t. One day soon, somebody is gonna to take that pretty little fiancée of yours – what’s her name, Marnie? – and show her the meaning of pain!” My nostrils flare. I can’t show my hand too soon, but bringing Marnie into this, my vision is turning red! “I hope you have a son one day. I hope he finds himself on the wrong side of the enemy, and I hope they tear out his liver!” He lunges for me with a scream, I grab his wrist and twist his arm around his back. I snatch the dagger, and Eldon screams. “Lesson number one: when attacking the Don. Don’t.” I point the tip of the dagger to his throat. “Lesson number two: never speak my wife’s name without permission.” Blood splatters everywhere, and screams and gurgling all erupt from Eldon as I grit my teeth and slowly push that dagger into his neck. I push it to the hilt and sharp twist, hearing his neck bone crack with the force. “Boss? Draven!” I shake my head, turning to look at Tony. I must have spaced out for a moment. The fog is clearing from my eyes and mind. Eldon’s body lies at my feet, eyes wide and glazed over. Prick! I look down at myself and groan. “For Christ’s sake, this was a new suit!” Nine-hundred dollars down the fuckin.g drain. “Suit aside, I’ve got to say that was fuckin’ awesome.” Tony laughs. I look at him for a moment. Tony is, without a doubt, the best friend I ever had. Not once have I been given cause to doubt his loyalty to me; nothing is ever too much, and he loves my little sister and her daughter like his own. Then there’s the fact he thinks the world of Marnie. He’s been her biggest supporter since I brought her into my life. In fact, if I’m totally honest, Tony was the one who told me not to be so stupid when it came to Marnie. He’s the reason I came to my senses. If I was to die today, I know Tony would take care of my family. He finally met a woman who gets him. Amy is a sweet girl, fuckin.g deadly as well. She’s one of my soldiers, the woman in charge of making sure any child we find abandoned – kids on the streets is something that happens a lot in my town and the ones surrounding it of late – is found a safe place to live. Amy will also track down their families and eradicate them by any means possible. That was never her job. Of course, she was trained in combat like all my men and women are. She took the job of child protection seriously. Any child who needed help and was brought to her attention got it. Finding families and making them pay for their part in that child's pain, she took it upon herself. Amy is not a woman to be crossed lightly. You mark my words; you’d be dead before you even knew she was there.
