Stephanie's Revenge

A once happy home

Stephanie, Liam and Levi with the rest of the crew members began walking back to the Thane's mansion which wasn't too far from where they had been. Stephanie was cuffed, while the rogue wolf had transformed into a human.

On their way back, Stephanie couldn't stop glancing at Liam. At how mature he had become. He looked manlier than before, and seemed to hit the gym like three times a week. Plus,the scar running from his right eye made him look hot and attractive.

“I know Liam has always been handsome but he looks hotter than before” Stephanie thought internally “and that was what made me fall for him in the first place. I knew our previous marriage wasn't based on love, but I had a crush on ever since and was willingly to do anything just to be with him and so, I accepted the arranged marriage set by our parents to bare him a child” Stephanie thought before stealing another glance at him but Levi caught her off guard by saying. “So handsome. Focus Stephanie” she slapped herself “you're here to have your revenge” she chides herself.

“You've been staring too long,” he cautioned. Stephanie blinked before turning her head forward and straight ahead was Thane's mansion.

“Take them in, I have something to settle first” Liam dictated while walking in another direction, leaving Levi to carry them in.

They approached the gates and were surprised to see the drama displaying before th. A woman in her mid twenties was hollering at the top of her lungs, her hair untidy and her eyes blood red with rage.

“What is up with this mad woman?” Stephanie asked subconsciously. Levi went forward to calm the woman down but she turned deaf ears.

“Don't tell me to stop Levi. He knows what he did. And I'm not going to turn blind eyes to it…” the woman bellowed. Stephanie squinted her eyes to get a clearer view of the woman “I have seen her before. But where?” She thought.

“You're creating a scene here and you know Liam hates it. So, please calm down and let's talk” Levi spoke softly but she pushed him away and continued with her craziness. “Liam, I knew where you were last night. And I know you went to see that bloody commoner. I can't believe you're openly cheating on your Luna with such a low ranked wolf. Don't you have no shame?” She yelled. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Liam walked out and stood right in front of the woman. The yelling woman's tongue got tied at the sight of Liam and Stephanie wondered where all that courage went. Her courage faltered and the fear instilled in her.

“What is the meaning of this, Tonia? Why are you making a scene here?” Liam's authoritative voice made her flinch and she averted her gaze.

“Tonia? As in, Antonia from the news at the hospital. No wonder I recognized her. She's that brute that stole my husband” Stephanie bawled her fist, as steams flew from her ears in anger.

Tonia looked up with a sharp gaze, her brows scowl as she spoke up “I know you were with that filthy woman last night. I know you…” but before she finished, Liam slapped and silenced her, leaving everyone stunned.

Steph couldn't believe this. “What is happening? Why did he slap her? The Liam I know never hurt women. How can this be?” Her mind reeled with a series of questions she dared not ask.

Liam leaned closer and whispered something in Tonia's ear and in her eyes, tears began gathering as Liam left her and went into the house. But before he could turn the knob, someone beat him to it.

A little boy stepped out of the house and stood in front of Liam. He was around five years old and had a stricken resemblance to Liam and..“No, it can't be. Is he my son?” Stephanie almost blurted out but held her mouth as she watched the young boy. He looked innocent and had his father's features, the only difference there was his brown pupils.

“What is going on father?” He asked Liam innocently but Liam just glared at him and walked away without responding.

“What?!” The situation was bigger than what Stephanie thought. “Why would he ignore his son? What kind of father does that?”

Before Stephanie could react, Levi called out someone to take her to the guests house where she would be staying. “Stella, come here. Show her.. what's your name again?” Levi asked Stephanie. But Stephanie stood, overwhelmed to see Stella. She wanted to run up and give a big hug but that would arouse suspicion because she's no longer Stephanie but “I'm Ava” Stephanie answered while staring at Stella with a wild grin. She was ecstatic to see her long time friend, even though Stella found it weird while she was smiling.

“Alright, This is Stella. She will show you all you need to do in the house and everything about Raynor’s schedule” Levi briefly explained before removing the cuffs.

“I can't believe I was let out so easily,” Stephanie thought.

“Come on let's go in” Stella gestured and they both walked in not before Stephanie glanced at Raynor and Tonia.

Tonia was bent down with her hands on her face, a look of disbelief plastered around her face, as tears rolled down her face. Raynor was patting her back, consoling her when he suddenly sprung his head and his eyes locked onto Stephanie. And she could swore they held ulterior motives behind them. His gaze frightened her, it was like that of Liam. Even though they had different colours. She could still see the coldness it held.

“Just like your father” she blurted out amusingly before saying. “Are you the young man in need of a nanny?” She asked in a high pitched voice with a broad smile. Her hands stretched to give him a stroke on the head but Raynor slapped her hands away.

“I don't need a babysitter and I certainly don't like you. You disgust me” he said, his voice laced with frustration as he narrowed his eyes in annoyance. “You might want to take a shower first. You reek of sweat” he said before walking in.

“What the?” Stephanie was stunned by his rudeness. “Don't mind him. He's just.. well” Stella chipped in, nervously scratching her head while looking away. “He'll come around. I'm positive” she concluded and they began walking towards the guest room down the hallway.

“Can I ask you a question?” Stephanie started and Stella nodded.

“Aren't you the maid? Why do they need another person to take care of Raynor if you can do that?” Stephanie asked curiously.

“Well, Ava. If you must know. I will be departing from today. I will soon get married to my mate and I cannot continue working for them and so, they need a new replacement” she explained shortly.

“Oh, that's wonderful news. You got engaged to Michael..” Stephanie had already spewed before she noticed her mistakes and slapped her mouth with her hand

“How did you know.?” Before Stella could retort, Tonia's voice interrupted them as she stormed angrily to them.

“Hey!” She called out “are you one of them?” She asked while stomping on the marble floor. Stephanie was confused as to what was happening.

“I don't understand ma’am” she answered genuinely. Tonia stormed closer to her and yanked her by the shirt.

“You're one of Liam's concubines isn't it, you slithering son of a..” she raised her hands to give Stephanie a slap and Stephanie shut her eyes. Tonia landed a blow on Stephanie’s nose and fractured her bone. Stephanie stumbled backwards ready to plead again. “Ma’am please. I don't know what you're talking about” she pleaded some more. Stephanie felt a liquid pouring from her face and before she could comprehend what the warm liquid was, she saw Tonia's fist coming for the second time.
