Malik
I woke up the next day and after taking a shower and brushed my test I headed to the kitchen. I heard talking as I rounded the corner seeing my brothers and Alex speaking with Dominic. I stood there for a moment before they turned to look at me. "Afternoon, Malik," Dominic said. I rolled my eyes choosing to ignore him. "What are you three doing here?" I asked. "We just wanted to check on you," Jericho said. I sighed. "I'm fine," I said as my phone began to ring. I picked it up without looking. "Yes," I said. "Is it true?" He asked. "Is Dominic back?" He asked. "Yes, he's here," I mumbled looking at Dominic who raised his eyebrow. "I want to see both of you, now." He said before hanging up. "I take it dad would like to see me," Dominic said from where he stood eating his apple. I nodded my head.
--
My father sat at his desk looking between Dominic and myself. "Does Ahsha know about him?" He finally spoke. "Yes," Dominic said. "Have you seen Ahsha?" My dad asked. "Not physically," Dominic said. I sighed frustrated by all of this. "What does this mean for the three of us?" I said. My dad wiped his hand over his face before sighing. "Because I've never dealt with a situation like you this before I had to reach out to the elders. They explained to me that because you were once one person you'll share a mate. However, because you were one person the only way you'll be allowed to mate with Ahsha is if you return to one person." He said. "What if we don't?" I asked. "You can't have Ahsha in any form. That burning feeling you feel in your chest will stay with you for the rest of your life. So, if you can live with that then fine but if you want a future with her this what it takes." My dad said.
I looked over at Dominic to see he was in deep thought. "Because you two have found your mate-" "The spell is void," Dominic spoke. "What does that mean?" I asked. "The refusion process has already begun." My dad said. "What?" I questioned in disbelief. "Why do you think Dominic's here. The moment you found Ahsha a signal went out to him calling him to both of you. I'm sure both of you have been experiencing a headache." I nodded my head. "And you found Ahsha a couple of weeks ago, it's only a day or two until the refusion happens." My dad explained. "How will this affect Ahsha?" Dominic asked. "You two need to stay away from her. You three will be in a very dangerous state." Dominic and I looked at each other. "You two should just get somewhere and ride out the next couple of days." He added. I nodded my head.
Ahsha
I woke up covered in sweat in my empty room. I felt weaker now than I did last night. I sighed walking to the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror. "Damn," I mumbled. I looked like I was recovering from the flu. My hair was all over my head. I had dark circles under my eye and my pupils were blown wide. My usual almond-colored skin looked dull and lifeless. I shook my head before I went to turn the shower on. I brushed my teeth before climbing into the cold shower. I sighed as the water beat down my body cooling my warm skin. I closed my eyes just letting the water hit me.
--
I opened my eyes to see I was sitting in a field allowing the sun to wash over me. "Ahsha?" My head snapped in the direction of the voice to see three women walking towards me. "Hello," I said unsure of who they were. "She doesn't know who we are Samantha." One said. "Dumplin." My eyes widened when my grandma squeezed in front of the three women. "Nana," I said rushing to get to my feet. She pulled me into a hug. "I've missed you so much." She cooed as I hugged her tightly. "I haven't dreamed about you in a while," I mumbled.
"Baby girl this isn't a dream. We came to talk to you about Malik." She said. "You know about Malik?" I asked wide-eyed. They all nodded their heads. "Who are they?" I said looking behind her. "These are your grandmothers." I looked from my Nana to the women behind her. "This is my mother, Samantha, and your great-grandmother." Samantha came over and hugged me tightly. "It's so very nice to meet you." She said smiling.
She had short hair and she was wearing an off the shoulder dress. She looked to be dressed like someone from the '50s maybe even '40s. She gave a vibe of confidence and feminity. I couldn't help but smile because I could see some features of my mom in her face. Samantha pulled me for a hug before examining me. "It's nice to meet you, mon petit." She said pulling me back into her arms. "You as well, truly," I said hugging her just as tight. She stepped back wiping the tears from her eyes before spoke. "You can call me maman." She said. I smiled as she held me close. "Samantha." I heard. Maman cleared her throat stepping away from me. "This is my mama, Charlotte," Maman said.
Charlotte looked regal and refined. She smiled down at me sweetly brushing a piece of my hair behind my ear as tears welled in her eyes. "You look beautiful, mon chère. You can call me meme." She said before pulling me into a hug. She kissed my cheek. "We are so proud of you." She whispered. I smiled as I began to tear up. She stepped back before saying, "This is my mother, Marie, and your great, great, great-grandmother." Marie came and stood directly in front of me with a knowing smile. "It's so nice to finally meet you in person." She said. I hugged her tight just enjoying the embrace. I looked at each of them and felt a sense of pride. "We don't have much time." She said as she still hugged me.
"We know you were taken by surprise by this whole mate situation," Maman said. "But we need to talk about Malik." My Nana said. "What about him?" I asked. "Malik, Ares, and Dominic were all once one person, living within Malik." They explained. I nodded my head. "However a turn of events led to Dominic having to be separated from Malik and Ares." My eyes widened at this new information. "Because they were once one person they are all your mates." Grandma Marie said. "In time if you choose to accept them as your mates they will have to go through a process known as refusion," Maman said. "Refusion?" I asked. They looked at each other. "Yes." My nana said. "His body will go through such a strong shock that the only way for him to survive is if Ares takes over his body, so he doesn't hurt himself." My eyes widened at the thought of Malik hurting himself.
"Because of the process has to take place, and because Ares will have to take over his basic instincts will as well," Meme said. "And those are?" I asked. "To mate you. Claim you." Maman said. "Claim me?" I questioned with a huff. "I am not an object, besides I haven't decided if I want any of this." I said with an eye roll. They all chuckled. "She is definitely our granddaughter." Grandma Marie said. "We just to warn you. Leading up to the refusion they will become consumed with having you. The same way you need them for your heat they will need you during this time. However, because they'll be at their peak need to mate you that can be dangerous." Maman said.
"Just don't run from them." My nana emphasized. "Why?" I asked. "That will ignite their hunter instinct and they will hunt you down." My heart started racing. "To claim me," I mumbled. They nodded their heads. "Don't be scared of them, especially of Ares. His lust thrives on the fear. Look out for their eyes, okay." I nodded my head. "If Malik's black Ares is in control. If you see more red in Dominic's eyes his dark side is taking over." My nana said. I watched as all the women looked up at the sky. "We have to go." Grandma Marie said hugging me. "We will keep an eye on you and try to guide you as much as we're allowed, okay?" Meme said. "Okay," I said before hugging my nana and grandma Sam. "Dumpling, I know you're scared and overwhelmed, but Malik and Dominic have waited a lifetime to have you. They were made to love, honor, and cherish you. Their entire being is to please you." My nana said. "And Ares?" I asked. "Just be careful with him." She mumbled hugging me again. "I love you dumpling." She whispered.

"Ahsha?" I heard what sounded like my mom calling me making me jump. "Yes?" "Are you okay? You've been in the bathroom for nearly an hour." I looked down at my now wrinkly fingers surprised. "I'll be out in a minute," I said turning off the shower. I wrapped a towel around myself and walked across the hall to my room. I quickly changed before there was another knock on my door. "Yes?" I said swinging the door open seeing Isa and Veronica. "How are you feeling?" He asked. "I'm fine," I said. "Why is she always here?" I asked harsher than intended. "Ahsha can you stop?" Isa asked looking at me. "Ahsha Come downstairs!" My dad called. I stood and headed downstairs only to stop on the last step when I saw both Malik and Dominic. I looked to mother seeing her stand with her arms crossed and a very pissed look on her face. I looked back at Dominic. "You're here," I said. He smiled. "I told you we'd meet soon." He said. "What are you two doing here?" I asked. "We need to talk," Malik said. I looked at my mom. "Is that okay?" I asked her. She stood silent looking from me to Malik and Dominic. "Doors stay open in this house." She said.
"Yes ma'am," The two men said. I turned and headed back upstairs. "Isa, can you give us some privacy?" I asked. He spoke to Malik before eyeing Dominic. "I'll explain later," I told him before he and Veronica left. "We-" "Used to be one person but something happened between you and Ares." I looking at Dominic. Malik looked at me confused while Dominic smiled. "Yes." He said. "You said you wanted to know everything but it seems you know it already," Malik said amusement in his voice. "Dominic is the other half of my demon self." I turned to look at them both confused. "What?" I asked.
Malik
I tried to ignore the pounding that was happening in my head as I looked at Ahsha. Being near her helped but it was growing worse by the second. "I'm not like my kind. I have two beings that live inside of me, Ares and Dominic," I tried to explain. "Okay, go on." She said.
"Ares is my sadistic half, he gets pleasure from inflicting pain, such as torture. While Dominic is more of a s****l demon." I said watching as Ahsha's eyes widened. "s****l?" She mumbled. "Yes, I enjoy watching a woman fall apart as I bring her to orgasm again and again," Dominic said. Ahsha cleared her throat breaking eye contact from him. "Ares and I both require a level of control from the people we encounter. I allowed Ares to have control of Malik's body until I had enough. However, Ares refused to give up control and we agreed that separating for some time would be for the best, so we did." Dominic said. Ahsha looked at us both. "So I have three mates." She said. "Yes," Dominic spoke. "But there is something else," I said. "What?" She asked.
"To be with you Dominic, Ares, and myself would have to go through the process known as refusion," I said. "I know," Ahsha said making me look at her curiously. "How do you know?" I asked. "I just do." She said looking at Dominic as his eyes. "You two should get somewhere safe." She said hesitantly. Dominic stood walking towards. She stood backing away from him. "Dominic." She called. He froze. "I'm sorry." He said before turning to look at me. "We should go." He said but my eyes were zeroed in on Ahsha. "I'm not going unless she comes with us," I said hearing Ares push forward. "I don't think that's a good idea." She said. Dominic walked towards her lighting caressing her. "Dominic?" She said softly. We knew to have her near us during this time was a bad idea but our need to be near her overruled our logic "Please" Dominic said. She looked from him to me. "Will your father be there?" She asked. "Yes," I said standing. "We can assure you that you'll be safe," I said. "Trust us, little mate," Dominic said. "Okay." She said nodding her head.
