Seventeen

Malik  

I quickly stood helping Ahsha steady herself as she stood. She gripped my hands leaning into me as she looked at her brother. "Are you sure you're okay?' She asked him again. "Ahsh I'm fine. I'm just tired that's all." He said as he leaned on Veronica for support. "Can you help me upstairs?" She asked looking at me. "Of course," I said leading her to the stairs.

Omniscient 

Malik sat on Ahsha's bed while she took a shower as he and Ares argued. 'She's upset. Fix it.' Ares barked. "Shut up," Malik said. "Excuse me?" Ahsha said as she came out of the bathroom look at Malik. Malik's eyes widened as he looked at her. He shook his head. "No. Not you. I was talking to Ares." He said. She looked at him a while longer before turning back to what she was doing. "You're upset, yes," Malik questioned. "No." She said. 'She sounds upset. Make her talk to us.' Ares said annoyed. Malik stood walking over to his mate slipping his arms around her waist gently kissing her new mark. "Please talk to me, habitat" Malik begged as he whispered in her ear. He could hear her breathing shift from the action. Ahsha turned in his arms and looked up at him. "I need to know that I can trust you." She said. "Of course, you can," I told her. "Then I want to know everything about your past. I want to know it all." She said looking at him. Ares who had been pacing back and forth in Malik's mind froze. Malik and Ares both stared into her eyes seeing just how serious she was. "Okay," Malik said with a soft sigh. "But first you should know something happened with Dominic." He said.

"What? What happened?" She asked. "As my father explained it to me. With the mate bond, the three of us could not coexist in my body without me dying. When I woke up this morning I couldn't feel Dominic. That's what I was talking to my father about." Malik explained. "He's gone?" She asked. Malik nodded his head. "So he died?" She asked barely above a whisper. 'As far as it concerns her he is.' Ares said. Malik agreed. he didn't want her stuck on searching for Dominic for the rest of her life. "As far as I know, yes. I'm sorry." Malik said caressing her cheek. He pulled her into his arms holding her.

It was a little past noon when Malik had comeback into Ahsha's room with a drink in hand. "Do you want to talk now?" He asked sitting next to her. Ahsha nodded her head. He smiled giving her a small nod of his head."Here, drink this." He said handing her the glass. "Why?" Ahsha questioned as Malik held the drink up that would allow both him and Ares to show her their past. "So, Ares and I can explain everything," Malik said looking at her. "What'll happen to me?" She asked. "You'll fall asleep, and when you wake, you'll see Ares and I. Then we'll begin." He explained. She looked from the drink to Malik. She took a sip expecting it to taste like medicine only for the taste of chocolate to hit her tongue. Malik chuckled seeing the rush emotions cross her face. "I added chocolate syrup so it would taste better." He explained. Once she finished the drink, she looked at Malik. "So, when does— it—" She mumbled before she dozed off.

Ahsha

"Habibata?" I heard what sounded like Ares's call. "How much did you give her?" Ares barked. "I followed the recipe." Malik snapped back. "Please stop screaming." I groaned as I finally opened my eyes. I stared at both Ares and Malik. "You're separated," I said surprised. Ares grabbed my arm helping me up. "Yes," Ares said as he pulled me into his arms. I sighed as I melted into Ares's arms. He held me close as he inhaled my scent. I chuckled when I heard Malik huffing. "I think Malik's jealous," I said. "So, he gets to hold you all the time," Ares said. "Okay but we came here for a reason and that drink is only going to last so long," Malik said. "Ares rolled his eyes. "Okay let's begin then," Ares said lacing our fingers together. "Before we start please remember this was what we were like many years ago. We've changed." Malik said. I looked from him to Ares. "Okay," I said softly before holding my hand out for Malik.

"Where are we now?" I asked. "America 1923," Malik said as we followed his former self dance with some blonde-haired woman. So far, I had seen Malik and Ares do some of the most horrific things to people. One incident that took place was because someone bumped into them without saying excuse me. I had heard that they were violent, but I wasn't expecting them to be this violent. "How are you holding up?" Ares asked. 

"I'm... I expected it to be bad but—" I paused. "It's much worse than you thought." Malik chimed in. I hesitantly nodded my head. "I mean you hunted some man down because he forgot to say excuse me. You went after another just because." I said. "I told you—" "You were different. I know and I'm trying to understand that. I just wasn't expecting it to be so bad." I said as they stood in front of me staring down at me. "Then all the women you've slept with," I said with a roll of my eyes. Malik scratched the back of his head while Ares feigned innocence. "We have a high s*x drive," Ares said. I rolled my eyes. "Mhm, but the men I've seen in the past however long we've been floating threw time aren't the men I've spent time with. I'm giving you both the benefit of the doubt. Just please don't fall back into old habits." I said. 

They nodded their heads before kissing my cheeks. "Now where did this hoeish version of you run off to?" I asked them as I looked around. "Hoeish, really?" Malik said. I looked his way before I turned and spotted past Malik dancing with the blonde woman. I rolled my eyes at the sight. "Jealous?" Ares said with laughter in his voice. "Jealous for what? Whose hand are you clinging to for dear life?" I questioned holding my hand up that he was holding. Malik chuckled as he draped his arm over my shoulder. "Funny, very funny," Ares said as we turned and watched past Malik dance. He spun the woman before dipping her. His head rose and his eyes locked with mine. I gasped seeing those familiar blood-red eyes. "Dominic?" I whispered. He smiled sending me a wink before going back to the girl. "I thought you said they couldn't see us?" I questioned.

This was the first I had seen of Dominic and it made me realize although I hadn't spent much time with him, I missed him a lot.

"They can't," Ares said reaching out touching some random guy that went unnoticed. "I don't remember that happening," Ares whispered to Malik. "Me either." I tuned both of them out watching Dominic dance before he whispered something in the woman's ear. "They're leaving," I said. Malik and Ares looked up before grabbing my hands again as we trailed them. We followed them for a while before reaching what looked like an apartment. Ares led the way up as we walked into the nicely sized apartment.

I could hear the kissing and drunken laughter coming from the bedroom. I wasn't jealous before, but I was now. "Ahsha come," Ares said. "I can wait until he or rather y'all finish," I said crossing my arms. Ares chuckled before dragging me along. I stood slightly annoyed and surprisingly turned on as I watched Dominic. I stood smashed between Ares and Malik when Dominic's eyes snapped to me. I gripped Malik's arm tightly as Dominic and I had a staredown. I opened my mouth to speak only for nothing to come out. I felt my legs buckle as his thrust got more and more aggressive. "Habitata?" Malik asked but I couldn't speak as I stared at Dominic's glowing eyes. "Look," Ares said. "He can see her." He added.  

Ares gripped my face tearing my eyes away from Dominic's to his. "You can feel him, can't you?" I nodded my head as I bit down on my lip. Suddenly Ares was snatched away from me along with Malik and they were both were pinned against a wall. I blinked and Dominic had me pressed against another wall. He drops his head into the bend of my neck. "You can see me?" I asked as he pulled away looking down at me. "Because I am apart of them. We share one body." He said. "Malik and Ares of the past have been pretending not to see you, as to not scare you but you are my mine why should I hide. I know who you are, my sweet mate." He said gently rubbing my cheek. "Uhm, guys? What do I do?" I called for Malik and Ares. Dominic stared at me. "How long?" He questioned before I felt his lips graze across my neck where my mark rested. A soft moan slipped past my lips and my breath came out a little shaky. I could feel him smile at the action. "So sensitive." He hummed. "How long did we have to wait until we found her?" He asked Ares and Malik.  

"Over 2 centuries," Ares said. "Fate likes to punish people like us," Dominic said. "Demons?" I questioned. He nodded his head. "Although we're not really demons." He added. "More so fallen angels. We f****d up when we were up there so for the time being our punishment is to dwell amongst humans and be known as you all call us, Demons." Dominic said. "She doesn't know that part of the story," Malik said. Dominic looked at me for a moment before his eyes widened. He grabbed my face staring into my eyes. "No..." he trailed taking a step back. Before I could even speak, he smashed his lips against mine kissing me passionately. He broke the kiss pressing his forehead against mine as I caught my breath. "We may not get much time together but if you call for me, I'll come." He said quietly so only I could hear. He kissed my forehead stepping away from me turning to look at Malik and Ares. Before he could speak, I felt lightheaded. "Wait—" I said I before my eyes grew heavy. I closed my eyes for a moment.

I woke to see I was back in my room and it was now dark outside. "You're awake?" I turned to see Malik looking at me. "What happened?' I asked. "What do you remember?" Malik asked. "Dominic was there, but I can't remember what he said," I said.

He nodded his head. "The juice wore off and you can't take any more for a couple of days." He explained. I nodded my head before falling back into my pillow. I glanced over before holding my hand out. "Stay with me until I fell asleep," I asked. He looked at me before nodding his head before coming to me wrapping his arms around me before I fell back asleep.
