Emily's POV
“Can you get me those folders?” I inquired, pointing to some stacks of files on the mahogany table. Jade, my secretary, nodded before walking in the direction I suggested. She took the blue folder and handed it to me as I extracted some files from it. As I read through the page, I touched my chin with my fingers and crossed my knees on top of each other.
I lifted my head to look at Jade, whose keen emerald eyes drilled into mine. She fiddled with her fingers, waiting for my response.
“So within the space of three months, we have three job applications?” I asked, caressing my temples.
“Yes ma'am. The first applicant is Mrs Smith from New Orleans. She has the passion for jewel making and she's made quite some amazing designs. I think she's interested in partnering with us.”
