Collin’s POV.
I felt a slight wave of satisfaction washed over me. Lorenzo impressed me quite well with his response to Emerald’s questions. I noticed she wasn’t really comfortable when she first saw him. I could see how she stole several glances at him, as though she were trying to point out one of two things. She was a little curious to know about Lorenzo because she kept asking so many questions about him and our past.
I’m still curious if she’s satisfied with each of our responses. I’m glad and amazed by Lorenzo’s intervention for satisfying her curiosity with some lies. If he hadn’t, she would have sensed something was amiss and her suspicions about us would have grown.
Just one last question from her, and Lorenzo is unsure how to respond.
