CHAPTER FOURTEEN THE KNOCK REPEATED at her door, but she still didn’t have the energy to get off the sofa and answer it. It wouldn’t have mattered, even if she did. There was no way she wanted to see anyone. Or worse, for them to see her. For two days, she had been curled up on her couch, not sleeping, not eating, just lost in her sobs at the loss of her husband.
