CHAPTER THREE “DO I HAVE a surprise for you.” Emma Rochester, Kelly’s younger sister, scooted into the wooden chair across from Kelly at their regular table at House of Joe’s, a small coffee shop along Barnard Street. Thursday morning coffee had become a ritual for the siblings since Jared’s death, a time to come together and vent about the week. Kelly knew the real reason, however, was for Emma to check on her sister, making sure she wasn’t hiding in her town house moping.
