CHAPTER SIX DEREK SET THE plastic storage tub on the floor behind the counter as Kelly had asked. HALLOWEEN was written across a strip of gray duct tape that stretched across the container’s side. “How much has she crammed into this thing?” He rubbed his lower back as he straightened his five-eleven frame. “I swear she’s hiding a dead body in there.” Kelly laughed as she squatted down and popped the lid off. “You know Phoebe and her holidays. Just remember, Christmas is next.” Derek groaned. “I need to start working out, then. I’ll never get that box of decorations down here.” Kelly laughed. “You mean, boxes? Christmas is worse, remember? Traffic in the store dwindled to a slight trickle, the lunch crowd having returned to their cubicles and desks, so Kelly started ticking off things
