The easy Saturday night I’d been hoping for seemed impossibly far away now. Instead, Kyle and I were having one of those nights that just seemed to be one thing after another. We’d barely made it back to the lab to check in with Ben, when the alarms started ringing for our first call. Just as I’d expected, Ben threw his mask off and stomped his whiny foot declaring his shift to be over. Not that he had anything to actually whine about though, both of us knowing damn well he hadn’t had a call all day. I wasn’t going to argue with him though, there was no point. Besides, the thought of prom that Kyle had implanted in my brain was still lingering there, making me for once actually sort of want to stay on my brother’s good side. Maybe I would be asking a favour of him someday in the near futur
