Her lips pressed against me in a frenzy, her hands squeezing the sides of my face like she thought I might slip away. The ends of those long finger nails dug into my skin like claws, sending my recoiling back out of the kiss, breaking it just as quickly as it had begun. Her eyes flew open, but her hands froze in the air, leaving the position open for my face to return. Her bottom lip began to tremble and guilt hit me in a wave. I so totally sucked right now, but I definitely wasn't giving off the kiss me vibes either. “Uh, I’m sorry,” I blurted out, but it only seemed to make things worse. The dampness began to form in her eyes, tears threatening to spill. “I’m sorry, it’s not you,” I added pathetically.
