“Where the hell is she?” I groaned, circling around the outside of her house for the third time. This time I allowed my feet to land on the roof, taking a seat so as to wait her out. From here, I could see her driveway enough to notice that it was still empty. She had clearly gone out for the night, and had every right to do that. It’s not like we had plans, although I wish we did. I should be downtown patrolling and keeping stupid people out of trouble, but all I could think about was what Allison was up to tonight. Had that dorky kid Matt finally asked her out? Had she caved and said yes? Dammit, she could do so much better!
