I didn't bother going to Allison's that night. In fact, I'd purposefully decided to stay home. My first reason, to appease my new stalker AKA my brother. But second, and more importantly, I knew what was coming. If I saw her, I’d have to end things, and I wasn’t ready to do that. It was the only viable option now though. I had to end things before she got too attached to me, before I got too attached to her, as if that hadn’t already happened. Ending things with her was going to destroy me. Just the idea of breaking her heart was breaking my own in half, but I had no other choice. This would never work, it was a fact I’d acknowledged long ago when I first became Onyx. The first time I broke her heart, and now like the jerk I am, I’m going to have to do it again.
