" You want me to ask Emerson to meet with you? " I asked, frowning. " Yes." " Why? " Ashten didn't say anything. He was just silent. " Why, Ashten? You told me to stay away from him. And now you want to meet with him? Why? " I asked. Sighing, Ashten said, " You should stay away from him. But if he ever comes to you, you should tell him to meet me. " Ashten said. " Why? " " Because I need to figure out what they are trying to do. A soul said to Gustin that his Kingmas wants to play. No more hiding. I want to know what is he planning. " " And after knowing, what are you going to do? " I asked. " I don't know. I think I am going to find something to do. Just something. I can't sit here and do nothing. Maybe they are planing to kill more humans. " Ashten said, shaking his right hand like he was freezing. Our order came. So, We stopped talking. When the waitress left us alone with our food, I said, " You can do nothing about it, Ashten. " " I can try. And I will try. I don't want anyone to end up like that. I don't want you to end up like that. " Ashten said, placing his hand over mine. " I should ask Emerson to meet with you, then. " I said and started eating my breakfast. " I am sorry. You should stay away. I... I just don't know what I should do. " Ashten rubbed his face. " You should eat. For now. And don't worry. Emerson won't hurt me. So, I can ask him to meet with you. Eat up. " I gestured him to eat his breakfast. He nodded and dug in. Maybe his fussing about these things means something. Maybe he is also involved to save earth. From bad souls. " Ash, I need to tell you something. " I said. Ashten nodded. " I dreamt about something. I met with my spirit guide and he showed meme how earth is going to be if I don't stay with Emerson. " I said. Ashten gaped at me. " We need to go, then. We should figure something out. " Ashten said, and tried to get up but I pulled him down. " First eat. Then we go. I am starving, Ashten. " I whined. Ashten sighed but started eating. I need to find out what is going on with him. Why is he so upset and desperate about finding about these things. But first I need to fill my tummy.

After Ashten and I had breakfast, we went to work. We decided that after our work is done, we will go to my apartment and call Emerson for Ashten to talk with. And I will ask Ashten about these things.

We drove to my apartment silently. While Ashten was fidgeting with his shirt's hem. I kept on glancing towards him. He has this restlessness in his eyes. He caught me glancing towards him. " What are you looking at? " He tried to smile. But it came out as a wince. I shook my head and drove home.

After we came to my apartment we were greeted by delicious smell. Of.. Of... " Tacos. " I shouted and ram to my kitchen. Emerson chuckled and shook his head. I sniffed for a long while and tasted the smell. I know. I know that you can not taste a smell. But it is so delicious. Emerson put up a plate full of tacos on the table. " He can cook? " Ashten asked with widened eyes. " Yes. His passion is cooking. "I smiled. Emerson frowned at Ashten. " He wants to talk to you Emmie. " I grinned at the damned soul. Emerson nodded and put up a plate for Ashten, too. All while his hands were in his pockets. " Thank you. " Ashten thanked him. " Let me just wash my hands and face. I'll be right back. " I said and ran upstairs. After washing my hands and face, I ran downstairs to eat my tacos. " I am back. " I sang and sat down beside Ashten. Emerson was leaning on a wall. Ashten was waiting for me to come back. He took a bite. " Mmmmm. " He hummed and licked his lower lip. " This is good, Man. You are a great cook. " Ashten said, biting more of the tacos. And me. I was speechless. I just kept on devouring my tacos. And I licked my fingers. Emerson raised his eyebrow at me. " What? " " If you don't compliment me, I am not going to give you my special drink. " He said. " It's delicious, Cook. " I said and resumed eating. Emerson just chuckled and got to make his special drink.

His special drink was orange mojito. And it was yummmyyy. I loved it. And Ashten loved it too. After burping, I patted my full stomach. Ashten smiled at me. "So, now you can talk with him. " I said. Nodding, Ashten turned to Emerson, who was again leaned on a wall. " Do you know about someone who wants to rage war on earth? " Ashten asked. Emerson's brow scrunched together. " I don't know about those things. " " Who rules your realm? " " Jacob does. And No. He is hiding so many things from me. He doesn't tell me anything now. " Emerson crossed his hands. Ashten sighed. " Then it's a dead end. " " Will you please tell me what you know? I can investigate about this matter, then. " Ashten looked at me for confirmation. " You can trust him. " I said. Ashten turned to Emerson and told him everything he knows. " My bodyguard/ best friend saw one of your friend walking in the street. " " But I.... I put him to prison. The one who was making everything a mess, I put him to prison. " Emerson said. " I think it was another soul who talked with Gustin. And he told him that his Kingmas wants to play. He said Enough of hiding. And he also told Gustin to run away from here. The mess will start from here. From Reinshart. " Ashten said. My widened eyes looked at Emerson. And found him looking at me. We are going to make everything right. Nothing will happen to me. They won't be able to harm me. " I stroked his back and shushed his crying. I whispered some sweet nothings to him. And then did he stopped trembling. He broke the hug and he looked... funny. His nose was red, his ears were red and he looked like a kid. I burst out laughing. He pouted. " Why are you laughing? " " You... You... Look.... look... " Ashten started pinching me. " Ow. Ow. Ow. " He kept pinching me. " Stop, Ash. " I shouted and giggled. When Is topped squirming, I realised. No. We realised how close were we. So So close. His gaze fell on my lips. And I sucked my lips. He leaned in and my eyes followed his lips. And then he kissed me. His warm mouth tasted like tacos. I bit into his lips. Groaning, he pulled me on his laps and I straddled him. His fingers traced the space which joined my neck and shoulders, and it went lower down to my waist and then navel. He sucked my lip and I moaned into him. My heart was beating so fast and My hands went down to his back. I scratched at it and then traced my fingers to his cheeks. And then my phone started ringing. I groaned and pulled away from him. The caller's name showed me and I knew. I knew I was doomed. She is going to bleed my ears from shouting. I picked it up nonetheless. " Hello. " " I called you a hundred times today. Don't you see you phone? " " Rose, Calm down. My ears will start to bleed, sweetheart. " I said. Ashten laughed. Wow, he has the guts to laugh. I glared at him and he just shrugged. " What are you doing, Girl? Did you know how worried I was? " She kept on shouting at me for awhile. " Are you done? " I asked. " Yes. For now. Now, tell me where were you? " She asked, huffing. " I was busy, Rose. I have work now, you know. " I said. " Do you know I went on a date with Isaac? " She asked. " What? When? When did he ask you? I am so happy for you, Ro. " I squealed. Ashten raised his brow in asking why the heck I was shouting. Rose laughed on the other line. " Calm down, Winter. " She said. " Tell me. Tell me everything. " Oh, I am so happy for her. Isaac is a great guy. And She deserves the best. It is worth breaking every kiss I get. " He took me to an Italian restaurant. The food was delicious there. Ashten hugged me from behind after I hung up. " Office romance, Huh? " He whispered. I chuckled. " I am sorry. " He said, lowering his head. I turned to him and asked, " Why? " " I was the one to tell you to stay away from him. And I was the one to tell you to ask him to meet me. I don't know what am I doing or what is right. I just don't want anything to happen to you. " Ashten's pain filled eyes looked at mine. I held his face and kissed his wet face. " It's okay. Emerson won't hurt me. And I am safe, Ashten." I said. " And I will make sure you stay safe. " Ashten said, with clear determination in his eyes. I nodded and smiled. " I know. "
