Christopher’s POV I was relieved to finally be heading back to the pack. Rarely did I stay away for long. While John was more than capable of managing things in my absence, there were certain matters that only an Alpha could handle. I was less than two kilometres from the main gates when Sean became alert. Stop. I pressed the brakes. The vehicle came to a halt on the quiet mountain road. What is it? Rogue. Close. A warning entered through the pack link almost immediately. Alpha, one rogue crossed the southern border. We’re moving to intercept. “I’m closer,” I answered. “Hold your position.” I left the vehicle at the side of the road and entered the trees. The rogue was not difficult to find. He crashed through the undergrowth without attempting to hide his scent or movements.
