Chapter 11: Jealousy

1067 Words
“Evan?” said by a pleasantly soft voice coming from behind them.   Sierra thought that it's a name she's familiar with and cannot help but to keep on thinking about it.   She knew she heard it or maybe say it a couple of times before, but she didn't know when or how.   “Evander?” this name suddenly pops out of her mind that she mumbled it uncertainly with her eyebrows furrowed.   'Did I say it right? Is that the name?’ she thought to herself.   Sierra started having weird dreams recently, dreams that seem familiar yet unfamiliar to her, and it all started on the first night when she was kidnapped, the very first night that she slept beside En.   When Sierra first holds the hand of the man who kidnapped her and felt the warmth she's been longing for, Sierra already had no plans of letting En go that even if she is tired and sleepy, she still kept on clinging to the man, afraid that he will run away. She already forgot the fact that she was the one who was kidnapped. That’s how the both of them started sleeping together. (literally only sleeping together)   Going back to her dreams, although Sierra doesn’t plan to mind it and wants to treat it as someone else's dream, she can't help thinking that those dreams seem pretty familiar, feeling like it happened before, but the thing is, she doesn’t remember it happening. Whenever she woke up the next morning, she will forget all the other details and what her dreams were about, the only things she didn't forget were what she felt during that dream and that those dreams are all focused on one particular person, to a man named Evander.   'Wait, why am I even thinking about this?’   And with this sudden thought, all her intrigue vanished.   She immediately returns to the old her as if nothing unusual happened in her mind. She started not minding anyone's business again and goes back to just being interested in the arms of the person beside her.   Although Sierra just mumbled that name in a small voice, it didn't escape from the ears of En who is just right beside her, he looked intently at Sierra, shocked of what he heard.   ‘Did she remember me?’ he asked himself, excited by the thought that there is a chance that she'll remember him. But when he saw her back to being expressionless, he just sighed hopelessly. 'Probably not'   “Evan!” this time the person calling that name raises her voice to call for that someone's attention. En uninterestedly looked in the direction of the voice and saw a blonde woman, wearing a yellow crop top and high-waist jeans partnered with a golden high-heeled sandal, holding a brown branded purse.   “Oh my God! It really is you, Evan! Long time no see.” The blonde woman excitedly said and accelerated her pace to immediately arrived in front of En.   But before she can even shorten the distance between them, her steps halt when she finally realized that En was not alone, she looked directly at the woman beside En who is tightly clinging to his arms.   She can't help but feel deep envy crawling on her skin.   The woman has beautiful straight black hair and a pair of thin almond eyes that were only focused on the man beside her. She is wearing a white below the knee dress and an ordinary flip-flop. She is only wearing ordinary clothes that any woman can wear but she wears them like a queen, it didn't manage to conceal her mesmerizing beauty and noble-like demeanor.   As far as she knew, En hates being touched, he is disgusted even at the thought of it.   ‘Who is this woman that broke his unmentioned taboo?’ the woman thought while glaring at Sierra who is not even bothering to look at her.   But then the woman instantly turns pale when this scenario in front of her was then overlapped by a certain image in her mind.   There is only one person who can break the wall that En created to blocked people from entering his life.   “Tiarra?” She can't believe how this name was blurted out of her mouth unconsciously that she covered her mouth because she was surprised herself.   Even she was doubtful if what she was thinking was right but as she thought about it more and more, she started to feel that her intuition was indeed right.   “Is that you?” she asked nervously but before she can even go near her to get a clearer view of her appearance, a person instantly blocked her, when she looked at it, she saw En standing in front of the woman she thought is Tiarra.   “Diane," En coldly said her name and threatened her using his eyes, that if she says or does something that will confuse her woman. He will not hesitate to break her neck this instant.   The woman who was finally identified as Diane, stepped back, frightened of his silent threat.   “I didn't mean any harm; I was just surprised,” Diane said timidly before she adjusted her mood and go back to being excited to see an acquaintance look on her face awhile back.   “By the way, it’s good to see you here, Evan. How have you been?” she asked and took a step closer to En.   “Good,” replied En who looks unconcerned about her, before wrapping his arms around Sierra's waist and started walking back to the hotel   As soon as they turn around, they were not able to see how the smile on Diane's face instantly cracked and turned twisted.   ‘How can she always get all the things that I wanted, every single time! Her looks, her aura, and even her dress which looks very pretty. I want it all! And then there's Evan, I met and knew him first, he was supposed to be mine; and if it weren't because of her...’ Diane glared at the woman who is little by little getting further and further away from her.   ‘How dare she comes back when I took all the effort to have her perished. Tiarra, you should’ve never returned.'
