ALEX Tonight’s venue is at Apocalypse. It’s our Wednesday gig, my least favorite. We finished our set at ten. Our groupie asks where we would spend the rest of the night. I look at Finn who is already sitting on a table with some of his fans, nursing a bottle of Coke. I tell them we’re partying here. A moment passes and it’s almost like I’m at a different place. The stage where we played disappeared, replaced by a raised dance floor with three girls dancing around silver poles. One of them wore nothing but a bikini and boots. I excuse myself from my table and walk over to Finn’s. “Ladies, can I have this handsome piece of a man for a moment?” I ask the girls who are giving him company, flashing a winning smile. They leave momentarily. The girl dancing at the middle pole starts teasing,
