Chapter 3: I'm doomed

903 Words
Amethyst Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as frustration built up inside me. I desperately needed that scholarship to fulfill my dream of becoming an interior designer. I'd prayed for this opportunity countless times, yet everything seemed to be falling apart. "Hey, are you okay, Amy?" Diana's voice broke through my thoughts as she gently caressed my back. I managed a nod in response to her comforting words. "You'll get that scholarship, I know it," she reassured me. Taking a deep breath, I tried to compose myself. But as I checked my emails, the fourth rejection from the scholarship hit me hard. After what happened in the principal's office, I had tirelessly searched for other sponsors, applying to every scholarship I could find on social media. But all I received were apologies and rejections. "Why don't you just go to him?" Diana asked, her concern evident in her voice. "And then what? I don't know what he'll do to me. He seems dangerous," I explained, feeling overwhelmed by the situation. Diana hugged me before returning to serve in the VIP rooms while I remained on the ground floor. As I busied myself serving bottles, I caught sight of him walking towards the VIP entrance and heading to the second floor. I felt a sudden urge to talk to him and clarify things. "Hillary, can I switch with you for a moment? Just this once," I asked, and she nodded, allowing me to take over the drinks and head to the VIP room. Since Miss Pam was absent, Hillary didn't mind the switch. I double-checked the room number on the tray—room 105. As I made my way down the hallway, I encountered Diane exiting from the other door. "Amy, what are you doing here?" she asked, her expression filled with worry. "I saw that guy, so I'm here to talk to him," I replied, determined to confront him. She shook her head, urging me to be safe. I knocked on the door of room 105, taking a deep breath before entering. What greeted me inside caught me off guard—three men laughing, but no sign of any go-go dancers. Panic began to rise within me as their smirks turned towards me. I jumped in surprise when the door automatically closed, trapping me inside with them. My heart raced with nervousness as I approached them, feeling the weight of their stares. "I need to talk to you," I managed to say, my voice trembling with fear. He smiled widely, signaling the bearded man and Mr. Harles to leave. I instinctively took a step back as they stood up. "Calm down, princess, we mean no harm," the bearded man reassured me before they departed. Mr. Harles turned to the guy and issued a warning, "Be easy on her, Flynn," before nodding at me and exiting the room. So his name is Flynn, it suits him. It sounds handsome but dangerous. "So how's your scholarship hunting?" he asked smiling playfully. "Fine. Just tell me, what do you want from me to get the scholarship?" I asked, trying to remain composed despite my nerves. "Have a seat first and let's have some drink," he suggested, motioning towards the glass of beer on the table. "No thanks, I don't drink," I declined plainly, refusing to indulge in alcohol. He nodded and relaxed on the sofa, undoing three buttons of his shirt. Running his fingers through his hair, he looked effortlessly hot. Watching his adam's apple bobbed as he drank his beer, I felt a mix of sensations. Chills tingled down my spine, and a warmth spread between my thighs. Damn, this is so new to me. "I want to offer you a confidential job," he said as he finished his beer and put the glass on the table. He locked his eyes with me and smirk hinting at something more. "Be my girlfriend," he declared firmly, leaving me speechless. My cheeks flushed, and my body trembled at his proposition. "W-what?" I stammered, unable to comprehend his offer. "Here's my card. Visit my office to discuss it further," he instructed, placing his card on the table before pouring another glass of beer. "But for now, let's talk about you," he added, his gaze intense. With my mind racing, I felt an overwhelming urge to drink the beer he offered. This wealthy stranger had just offered me a job in exchange for the scholarship—being his girlfriend? The implications raced through my mind, and I felt incredibly stressed. Taking the glass from his hand, I downed its contents in one gulp, hating the taste of it. As I downed the beer in one gulp, a warmth spread through my body, starting from my stomach and radiating outwards. The room began to spin as I felt dizzy, my vision blurring as I noticed three of them smiling at me. Damn, this guy was dangerously attractive. A wave of heat washed over me, intensifying the sensations coursing through my body. My head felt light, like floating, and everything looked blurry. Thoughts got mixed up, and I couldn't focus. "Are you okay?" I heard him asked me. I bit my lips, feeling the numbness spread. Sweat trickled down my forehead. With the unbearable heat, I wanted to rip off my shirt. I felt his touch on my shoulder, that made me feel hotter and wanting for more. I'm doomed!
