Caroline's PoV
When Klide and I entered the warehouse, I noticed someone was tending to Garry's wound. Why was he managing Garry's injury? Didn't he believe that the vampire had power and would heal the wound voluntarily?
"The royal blood is ready for us to drink, Carol; are you ready to drink vampire blood?" Klide asked, and he made me sit, and when I looked at Garry, he looked at me.
"Why are you looking at Garry? Is there an issue? Is there insufficient blood for you to drink?" Klide inquired, and what he said shocked me.
"I'm just curious why you're treating Garry's wound; I know vampires can heal their wounds," I said to Klide, who lowered his glass as he was about to drink it. I diverted his attention so I wouldn't drink mine.
