George's PoV
When I was doing my paperwork, I noticed Caroline wasn't doing anything because I hadn't assigned her a task, so I shifted my gaze away from her and back to the paperwork I was holding.
"Will you not give me something to do? I thought you had an important task to complete in the market today?" Caroline asked, and she appeared on my side once she was close to me.
"I finished earlier, but I was only looking over the paperwork. Do you want to go home immediately?" I inquired of Caroline and smelled her scent.
"I still don't want to go home, but you said we needed to investigate the mysterious figure you saw in the battle we had early on?" Caroline asked, and I put my paperwork down once I drew her, and she sat on my lap.
