(Damien's POV)
During a moment of distraction, Julian unleashed a barrage of punches on me. His fists connected with my jaw, my ribs, anywhere he could reach.
"Damien Thorne, Sera is so kind, how could you bear to treat her like this?" His voice cracked with fury. "How could you be so cruel?"
Each word hit harder than his punches. I didn't fight back. I couldn't.
Julian's face was twisted with rage, years of suppressed anger finally erupting. "You beast! You bastard!"
He grabbed my collar, shaking me violently. "Do you know what she went through trying to conceive your pup?"
"She received fertility treatment with moonlight herbs," Julian snarled. "An eight-centimeter silver needle, injected into her body every two days."
