Gwen hopped off her chair, anxious to rush Lexi out of the office. Lexi shouldered past her, anxious to be gone. To be rid of this place and this day.
Her phone dinged just before she exited the building. She pulled out her phone and clicked on the message from Chyna.
Delivered your luggage to airport already. Meet me there, chica. Heart you.
Lexi smiled to herself, grateful for Chyna’s loyalty. It was so nice not to have to worry about at least one part of her life. Chyna had been a true friend throughout it all. She swore as soon as they made it back to New York she was going to treat her best friend to a wonderful dinner and lots of wine.
