the day went by with me still in my room i had dinner and everything but i still didn't talk with my so called new family and i don't intend to do that anytime soon.
It was 10;30 when my phone rang and it was my co-worker he said that they got a call that people are being hold as hostage in the supermarket near by, so on my way to the door i was preparing my gun when mom called me so i went to the living room and everyone was present there.
'' where are you going'' '' i have a case to solve'' i told her
'' but it's late..'' '' wait what to you do'' Noah asked
'' I'm a detective'' i said tucking the gun in the back of my jeans
'' woww i didn't expect that from you'' he looked surprise
''ok, I have to go so stop with the questions bc I'm late'' I said heading to the front door, i took of to the address tommy sent to me.
After few hours i returned home it was already 2;00 am and I was feeling sleepy so i went first to the bathroom and took a shower then wore my pajamas and retired for the day.
when i woke up in in the morning i did my usual routine then headed to the kitchen to have some breakfast and i found Noah next to the stove i ignored him and went straight to the fridge
''Good morning'' '' Morning'' i said dryly
''Wanna have some pancakes with me'' ''No''
''what of eggs with some bacons uh'' ''NO'' what is his problem
''look i know ur angry with ur mother and all this bullshit but that doesn't give you the wright to be angry at me while I'm begin nice with you''
''what is the difference if ur nice with me uh how do u accept me to just be nice with you and ur father when i have no idea you even existed''
'' i know it's hard to digest this news but i was like you when i first heard about all this but i just got used to it, so don't worry you'll be fine'' he said the last part with a smile on his handsome face
''I hope so'' with that i passed by him ready to head out but he held my wrist and stopped me
'' we can at list try and get to know each other what do you say?''
''only if your offer is still available'' i said referring to the pancakes
''Of course it's still available'' we both chuckled
we both had breakfast and talked about things and got to know each other better and i liked his company and after all he seemed nice we then went to the backyard and walked in silence
'' You know me and dad used to play here when i was young''
''um ya sorry about ur dad ur mom told me what happened with him while trying to save you even after our parents married ur mom didn't want to move from this house bc it held so many memories for her'' i didn't realize i was crying until i tasted salt on my lips.
''Hey, why are you crying i'm sorry if i said something wrong''
'' no it's nothing i just get emotional whenever someone brings this topic bc i still blame myself for his death.. I miss him so muchh'' i said sobbing and i couldn't hold it anymore
Noah took me into a tight hug i hugged him back, he gave my hair light strokes and told me soothing words ''sorry'' i said after i cooled down
''No worries i understand how you feel, it's the same case with me when ever someone talks of mom'' he said
'' by the way what happened to your mom'' i asked him but he looked uncomfortable
'' it's a long story I'll leave it for another day'' he said giving me a side hug
''okay'' his really an amazing person i feel comfortable around him and can talk freely, thank god my stepbrother turned out to be an amazing person.
