"So, darling... did you convince her?"
Susan wrapped her arms around Adrian before pressing a lingering kiss to his lips.
"Not yet."
Adrian sighed and loosened his tie.
"That woman is difficult to deal with."
Susan's expression changed.
"You need to hurry, Adrian."
"I know."
"No. You don't understand." Her voice became firmer. "You need to bring your kids to Georgia ASAP."
Adrian looked at her.
"They're not going to simply hand the kids over to me, Susan."
"Then convince her."
"It's not that easy."
"It has to be."
Adrian said nothing.
Susan stepped closer and rested her hand against his chest.
"We've already come this far."
Her voice softened.
"Don't ruin this now."
