I was sitting in my site office that morning after a short breakfast meeting with some of the investors involved in the project. Everything went smoothly, thank God.
Sometimes, being single at my age had its advantages. I could go wherever I needed to, whenever I needed to. I could work late, spend entire weekends at construction sites, or attend last-minute meetings without having to worry about someone waiting for me at home.
Don't get me wrong. I dated. Several times, actually. But with my ridiculously hectic workload, I hadn't met a woman who could truly accept this kind of lifestyle. And honestly, I didn't blame them.
Besides, I already had enough nephews and nieces to spoil. Especially Zayn and Zarra.
