Chapter 12
Caiden and Theirn left for Denver on Friday morning.
Styge had been less than happy when Caiden put him in the carrier. “Deal, cat,” Caiden told him. “It’s this or you get to stay home all on your lonesome, except when someone comes by to make sure you have food in your bowls. After a week or maybe a lot more, you’d be wishing you came with us.” That didn’t stop Styge from hissing until they were in the car Zander sent to pick up Caiden, and then Theirn, to take them to the airport. Then Styge calmed down and slept.
