Chapter 6
Caiden showed up at Zander’s house unannounced Sunday afternoon.
“This is a surprise,” Zander commented, letting him in.
“I could have called, but this is purely impulse. I…want to see what you can find out about someone.”
“Oh? Let’s go into my office before you tell me who.”
As they walked down the hallway, Caiden saw several people in the living room off to his right. A couple of them he recognized as men who worked for Zander. “I didn’t mean to interrupt your meeting.”
“Not a problem. We’re just hashing out a few things. They’re quite able to do it without my supervision.”
Once in the office, Zander at his desk, Caiden seated beside it, Zander asked, “Who do you want me to look up, and why?”
