Caiden left Leander’s place late the next morning. “I have a cat who is probably wondering if I’ve deserted him, and I’m sure you have things you need to do.”
What he really wanted was to get away from the city, and Leander to some extent, so he could think through what he’d committed to—in terms of catching Lockey. If it’s really possible. If the man is a good as Rian says, he may well be too smart to fall for our ruse.
Thinking of that reminded Caiden he needed a full floor plan of Kingsley’s island home. He called Rian to tell him, getting a rather acerbic reply that, “I figured you would and emailed it to you.”
At least he’s got it together. Now if he’s able to get good videos of Kingsley, it will make things easier for me.
