Kian’s POV
“Save him, please.”
That was Kai...my wolf. The savage, indifferent beast that had never once begged for anything. He didn’t do mercy. He didn’t do compassion. But right now? He was pacing in my mind, agitated and growling like a storm caged in bone.
I ignored him.
“He’ll kill him.”
His voice again. This time low, clipped, and vibrating with a strange kind of urgency that didn’t suit him. My eyes didn’t leave the scene unfolding in front of me.
