My heart was literally beating s**t out of my chest every damn second. I wasn’t just worried, I was spiraling into emotional cardiac arrest. I’ve never been this freaked out over anyone, let alone two murderously gorgeous psychopaths currently trying to erase each other from existence in the middle of a magical arena.
Meanwhile, Liam, my supposed rational support system was lounging beside me like we were at a damn VIP premiere. He crunched another handful of popcorn, eyes twinkling like a toddler watching fireworks.
