“Let me go, Captain Kian! I’m strong enough! And I have a meeting with my friends!” Eli protested like I’d just dragged him away from his own wedding.
He kicked at my heels, weakly and slapped at my arm with those soft, ridiculously warm hands that had no right to be so distracting. His voice was filled with a mix of defiance and panic, but it only made me grip his wrist tighter as I dragged him down the east corridor toward my private combat arena.
