The wondering white wolf

Chapter 13

"I too have a mission from the moon goddess. She said after kids are old enough, she wants us to be the protectors of the white wolves. We are also tasked with finding them " He tells me.

Oh joy. More tasks.

Tonight is my night to drive the food truck and cook. Cooking helps me think. While I'm overwhelmed with my daily tasks and now two more tasks the moon goddess wants us to accomplish.

While John stands by my side. I do what I do best. I make lists. One for what I'm inspired to cook and two for our tasks.

I'll take them with me. When I have a thought I'll write it down.

"Tonight I'm going out to cook. Your welcome to join me. The nanny wolf will watch the kids. They typically do pretty good for Sam. So no need to worry about them. I'm going to make lists. It helps me think. What will you be doing " I ask john.

"I'd like to come with you. I just found you. I'm not leaving you unprotected off pack lands" John tells me as his eyes darken because of Jay.

"Hello Jay. Your always welcome to come forth. I love both of your inputs. The pups will be okay here. " I say to both them.

Johns voice deepens. "Annie too"

" Yes Annie too. I've always allowed shared control with Annie when she sees something before I do. " I reply.

Okay so now that I've got my lists started. Dishes done. Time to think.

Truck : I'll need... Hmm... I think I'll go meat based because the white wolf hunt is tonight. But our pack won't be hunting. Instead they are tasked with keeping other wolves off our pack lands. To misguide others. I mumbled. I hope he heard me.

If you were to look outside and see the pack lands. Everything is decorated with fairy lights, tikis and lawn chairs. If I recall I heard someone say they were going to bring out the 100" Projection screen. I'll have to find out the movie. Add that to the list.

Johns just watching me. Fascinated how my brain is working.

"Could you make me another cup of coffee?" I smile at him.

I know he watched me make my coffee earlier because he was done making my cup and handed it to me in record time.

"Thank you..." Kissing him I become distracted.. Hmm. That's unfortunate.

Mmm this coffee is so good. I'll have to ask him more often to make my coffees.

Right. Let's do a wild hog burger; I write.

I'll need tenderloins, bacon, pulled pork, nacho cheese and big hamburger buns. I think I'll also add a side of simple crinkle fries.

"what is a wild hog?! Oh my goddess. I can't stop drooling! Can I have the first sandwich?!" Jay pleads.

"If you'll be with me tonight, yes Ill make you one if you work the register for me.." John lights up like a kid on Christmas.

"A food truck is my Christmas dream. I love food so much..." He states as he walks off to see what the children are doing. They were shouting something about not killing their minecraft person with a super sword.. Idk.

Right so tonight is figured out. I go to my fridge. Pull out my roasts, I figure five- fifteen pounders will do.

Instead of smoking my roast I boil them in my 20 quart pot roaster. Takes about four hours to do cook and pull apart.

Now that those are plugged in. I add my salts and lawry seasoning. Noticing the time it's 11am. So I'll start on lunch. I think I'll do something that's finger food. So I grab chicken nuggets.

Jack and emma woke shortly after the nuggets were done. I'm assuming because the smelled them cooking on the pizzazz.

So I go upstairs to snuggle them while they slowly wake up. After changing jacks pull up. I pick both jack and emma up. We head downstairs to find everyone glued to the TV. I have to take a picture! Even John is fascinated. Ha. So I do to the kitchen after putting jack and emma on Johns lap.

1230 rolls around. So I head to the living room. Kids are eating and playing. So I decide to put their nuggets in a zip lock baggie.

"kids!!!" I shout. But no one answered. Im literally right behind them. I grabbed a 4th controller and then turn the ps4 off.

"MOOMM!!"

"Oh Hush! I've been calling all of you!" I shout right back. John looks sheepish and kids just glare at me.

" Now. I've got your nuggets in baggies. Let's go socialize with our new pack. If your good well come back later and you can play more. Right now I hear people setting up for the white wolf hunt. I think they are going to set up a movie. Do you have a recommendation for their movie choice?"

Emma and Carlie say frozen 2 while Mason shouts Kong fu panda.

"Okay well tell the alpha. Now. Go get your shoes on "

" I don't want shoes mom! I like the dirt on my toes" the boys say.

"Fine you don't have to have shoes. But you need to remember to wash your feet before coming back inside or you'll be washing the floor. Hands and knees style."

" Yes mom!" They all run outside playing with the other kids. It's so nice to see them playing with other pups. Knowing they can't seriously hurt anyone and can run as fast as they want.

I grab my blanket to sit on and follow them outside.

I find a mother who as a lil one about the same age as jack. Throw my blanket down and relax in the sun.

"Hello. I'm Tina. This is Cory. He's 18 months old. "

"Hello I'm Abby and this is jack. He's 16 months old. Nice to meet you. I hope you don't mind them playing together?.."

"No not at all. Cory needs friends. He's my first born. I see you have 6 kids. How do you manage! And from talk of the pack, you have a food truck too?! You should cook for the pack tonight!" Tina tells me.

" Hmm. I'll think about it. I'll have to ask alpha Drew on his thoughts and I agree to needing friends your age."

"John. Come sit." I say. He's just standing there unsure of what to do. I know he's watching the other children play with other kids.

" Tina this is John my mate and kids dad."

I say.

"Hello Tina. Cute stud you've got there."

"thank you. He can be quite a handful. But I wouldnt want it any other way"

"if you don't mind me asking. Where's your mate?" I ask but I see shes blushing.

"I don't have a mate. But Cory dad is beta Roger. We have had many one nights together. I just wish he'd accept me and Cory as his chosen mate. He's not getting younger and Cory is getting older. Roger is missing so much about Cory."

I see a tear slip past her eye and I can't help myself...

" May I give you a hug?!" I plead.

She nodded yes.

I added that to my list to deal with. I'm not trying to power trip. But he did the deed now time to take care of the aftermath he created. Every child from the moon goddess is a gift.

John is just sitting there fuming. But he gets up after a moment. Shifts into Jay and charges at beta Roger.

Beta Roger has no idea what's coming for him. All Roger did was walk out of the pack house. I cant help it. I'm laughing!!!

I already know his intent.

Like a cat waiting for a mouse. Jay crouches down ready to pounce on beta rogers.. Roger does a few more steps... (Jays an alpha. So I only watch. I know he's not going to get hurt.)

"You BASTARD!!!" Jay shouts and releases his alpha aura.

Roger's shifts. You can tell he was caught off guard. They are growling and snapping their fangs.. Everyone is watching now. Pups ran to their parents. Alpha Drew is making a B line toward the commotion. While I just smile...

" The moon goddess gave you what you wanted! You WILL accept her gift! "

Jay slashed rogers side as rogers tried to kick jay in the face with his back feet. Causing Roger to whimper but he just won't quit. Roger's won't stay down..

"SUBMIT!!!" Jay booms. Studying his prays every movement..

I stand up. "Tina. Watch jack for me... "

I don't even look at her. I just keep walking toward Jay. Still in human form feeling at peace knowing Jay has my back. My aura released to double down on Jays command.

Alpha Drew starts yelling.. But I hear nothing.

" Roger's. The moon goddess has given you a gift. You are to accept it and be happy about it! You will accept Cory.

DO NOT lie to me about him being yours. I smell you both on him. He shares your scents!"

This stops alpha Drew. By the end of my sentence, he's very pissed.

Roger is whimpering by this point. Feeling ashamed no doubt.

"I'll only say it once. Shift back, now"

Jay and rogers comply. John is at my side Drew on the other side. And I can feel my kids eyes on me. Ax watching through carter's eyes.. I do not like to be the center of attention. But I will stand up for what's right. Otherwise what's the point of this divinity if I can't do good in this world?

"Speak your reasons for not accepting your child." I eerily ask as calm as I can.

Rogers just looks at me, bowing in submission

"You did the deed now take care of your seed!" I say.

"It was wrong of me. I was a fool to not see the gift the moon goddess gave me. But I was hungry for powerful mate. Which is why I've watched your every move. I wanted you to be mine!"

This caused Tina to whimper and John to explode!

John starts attacking rogers repeatedly. After a few moments I shout.

"ENOUGH!"

"That's enough John. Roger's sees his wrongs and I know he knows your my mate. But as punishment, you'll spend 15 days in a cell. When you are in the cell. You will reflect your actions and accept the Consequences. I hope when I come to visit after those days that you have a change of heart. Not everyone has the blessing of a child. Maybe that's why you haven't found your mate?!"

"GUARDS!" I shout. I already know they heard my instructions. So they know what to do.

"I understand." He says. "I will do better moon goddess. I'm sorry tina and Cory.

Before I go. Can I give my pup a hug?"

I look to Tina. She nods her head seeing as Cory is already crawling to rogers. She scoops him up and walks to him. Letting Cory take a few steps to rogers.

Rogers caught him. Sniffing him and crying at once.

It warms my heart to see men cry over what's right. Over the love of family.

It's making me tear up. I nod to the guards for rogers to start his punishment.

I look to alpha Drew. "Was I wrong? Do you agree to my punishment for him?"

I ask.

"Yes I do agree. However Id like to state I was unaware. Thank you for doing the right thing. I'm sure he'll have a change of heart. And on a lighter note. I heard you were headed out to go cook. Would you cook tonight? I'll pay you for what the pack eats? "

This has my jaw dropping, I'm flabbergasted. That makes me happy I don't have to leave pack lands.

"I'd be delighted to cook for the pack."

Cheers go out around thanking me for food and doing the moon goddess deed.

Jeeze! I haven't cooked yet. Ha
