On the ride to the school. I showed where we must got to pick up kids. I typically park on the side of the school and wait in my van. My kids know what my van looks like. It's just a waiting game now.
"Are you a healer?" Roger asked outta the blue.
"Yes" I told him
"Can you talk to the moon goddess?"
"Yes" I'm watching for my kids while half listening to him.
"The way you acted when I surprised you earlier, you acted like jack could sense danger...."
"Yes" I spotted hunter. I'm getting ready to get out. But I'm stopped by Roger putting his hand on my arm.
"I can help him.."
"But how do you know which are mine?"
He taps his nose.
"I can smell them on you "
I make an O face.
"Hi baby!! It's OK. This is Roger. He's the Beta"
Hunter looks shocked and slightly amazed.
"ok mom he looks strong mom! "
Hahaha" Yes baby. Betas have to help the alpha protect the pack"
" that's right bud. My job is to be strong. It's nice to meet you "
He and hunter fist bump.
Soon Mason,Emma and Carlie come out and pretty much do the same thing. Carter walks home. He enjoys the walk and seeing the trees. He always tells me of squirrels or birds. It's adorable he enjoys nature and fresh air.
As we pull out of the school lot. Carlie asks why Roger is with us. I tell her were moving to the pack house as our temporary home till we find a house on pack lands. So they can play with other pups.
Just as we got into the road from the school. I informed the beta we have to grab personal items from our rental home. I understand the kids being frustrated as we have just moved here. About two months ago.
Once we pull into our drive. Everybody Jumps out excited to be home.
" Hey, guys!!! We need to grab out favorite bedtime things. Pillows, blankie and hunter don't forget your binki"
"YES MOM" they all yell at me.
Beta Roger turns of the van and follows is inside.
You know it's only been a few months we've been here but I'll miss this place. I hope the new house I have to ask alpha Drew for is bigger than this one with a yard...
"Abby...." Roger says holding the door open for me.
"Oh sorry. Just thinking of the time we had here"
Everyone loads up the van with what they wanted to grab as I'm feeding jack his warm milk.
It's a quiet ride to the pack house.
Once we pull in front of the pack house.
I tell the kids it's only for a few days.
Bedtime is fun to say the least.
I'm so exhausted I don't realize I've fallen asleep in the rocking chair.
"Wake up child"
I'm blinded by white lights as I open my eyes.
"Hello"
"Ive called you here to tell you I've given you a mate. You'll meet him soon. You'll need him for what's to come. And I wanted to say thank you for trusting me, I understand it's not easy being a white wolf. "
"I understand mother. And I'll always trust you. But I'm scared what's to come"
"Sleep now child. Well meet again soon."
Shortly after everything goes black....
After a few days as promised alpha Drew shows me and the kids the house right next to the pack house. It has 5 bedrooms and two baths, decent kitchen but has a large table. I usually want simple things. But this house I've fallen in love with instantly.
"Oh my gosh drew this house is amazing! It's got my every need and dream in one!!"
I can't help myself. I give him a hug as I hear all the kids inside squealing about their new rooms. Little do they know. They each will have a roommate.
"Later down the road, you have space to add rooms or you can leave it as it is. This is your house now. Also the school here on the property would like if your kids joined instead of human school. Here they will be able to be them. Whereas they would have to be careful at human school. They'll also teach the kids how to defend themselves until I start training them at age 15. What do you say?"
" I'd love that. I'm sure they would love to play with other pups too!" I thank him instantly. This saves me a lot of time... I think to myself.
"Would one of the nanny wolves like to watch the kids? I'd ask that the beta helps too. The kids know him, they won't know the nanny..." I'm biting my nail hoping he'd say yes.
"Oh of course. I'll ask Sam since they've met Sam before "
"Oh amazing idea!"
Life is definitely becoming better..
Later that day I sign them up. I'm pleased with how classes are ran and how the school values their active moments. Wolves can be hyper. I'm happy with this choice.
2 weeks see to fly. We're settling in better than I could imagine. They kids are actually excited to go to bed at night. They've made friends. And I've been able to help in the pack house kitchen.
I'm so happy. I'm always smiling right along with my babies.
I think I'll go for a run tonight. Let Annie enjoy some of her own personal happiness.
And then I become apart of this pack. My babies to. They are a little nervous but that's to be expected.
It's 1030pm. The festival is full swing. I didn't bother getting pretty. I was more focused on taking the kids to the blow up houses earlier. They were all over the place. But I'm happy they had fun and could run as fast as they wanted without having to hold back. They fell asleep at 830p ish.
All the adult wolves are surrounding a large fire. I'm merely hiding in the crowd. Waiting for my name to be Called.
1130pm comes and finally the alpha addresses the crowd. Thank goddess too. I'm ready to get this nervousness over with.
" We're gather here tonight to celebrate new mates brought together under the full moon!!! I hope everything turned out as we planned and how the goddess paired us with!! But we will not go on a hunt tonight!!"
"WHAT!!! But alpha! It's our job to serve the moon goddess! To protect the white wolves! Without white wolves our pack will surely fall to ruin! Bad luck will come! Omg is this end of us!!!!?"
I'm silently laugh. Mother goddess did good by leading us to this pack. They have a heart of gold.
"Annie? Let's silently shift. Since we're at the back of the crowd now. No one will have eyes on us. Let's surprise them. Whatcha think?!"
"Oooo the suspense... I like it!!!"
And so we shifted. Only the alpha saw. He gave us a head nod in acknowledgment.
We did the same in return.
"If you'd all calm down. I will explain why we're not going to hunt for the white wolves"
Everyone became slowly silent. Hanging on to his every word.
"I will explain with a story. Nearly 3 months ago, I had a little family ask for permission to stay in town. They were looking for a fresh start. Because they were hiding and looking for safe haven. But little did I know. Our goddess guided this family here. The goddess feels we - DEER CREEK- has a heart of gold. She trusts us. She wants us to protect the white wolves!!!!!"
"Yay!!!!!!!!"
" But alpha what does that have to do with this family you speak of...?" A lady says...
"Look around you!" Alpha Drew commands.
I open my aura completely.
Heads start to turn to me...
Gasps and awes start to go around. Once the shock wears off Deer creek pack Members start to Kneel. Some praise our goddess others start crying...
"You may rise" Annie tells them.
Annie fur glows brighter
"Oh we've been saved" that same lady shouts. I should learn her name. I thought to Annie.
Everyone seem to have a pep in their step and seemed to party harder. But as midnight came I became initiated into the pack.
" Welcome Abby and Annie along with your pups. May the goddess smile on this bond! "
Annie is still on display.
"Thank you alpha Drew. Id like to say a few words of my own...
Deer creek, thank you for your warm welcome. But I ask you train fiercely to help protect me and my pups and myself and the goddess will do the same. Id like for you all to know. All of my pups are white as well. This pack now has 7 white wolves!!!!!!!" I shout.
" NOW, let's run!!!"
We all set off. Me by the alpha side. Until I smell thee most intoxicating smell ever...
