For security reasons and for the sake of keeping the public eye out of our business a majority of our businesses are conducted here in Italy and just partners and associates are distributed all over the continent and world. This would be the first time that a heir of the boss is sent to the us to head a branch. We have travelled there several times. Dad even grew up there for the better part of his teens and had an education there.
“What is going on??” He asks when I don’t say anything for a while.
“It is true. You are being transferred there.” I tell him bluntly.
There is no shielding him from the truth anymore. He is a big boy. He can handle it.
“Tell me you’re joking ??? This is a joke right ??” He breathes into the phone harshly.
