I distracted him because truthfully we don’t need another death or I don’t need it on my conscience. The boy is a kid who is just being stupid. But that’s the thing, you can’t go through life being stupid and making stupid choices and all that. You don’t do that.
“How’s the internship going? After your finals right ?” He asks.
I nod.
“Yes. It should last for three to six months depends on the company you’re working with and what type of program you’re doing.” I add.
“Ahhh. Okay. So have you made your choice on where you want to do it?” He lifts one full brow in question.
“No I don’t know yet but I sent my applications out and I should get a response soon.” I shrug.
“Okay then.” He nods.
I go back to eating what is left of the pastry.
I feel his eyes on me.
