30 I raced across campus, bumping into everyone and everything. I rushed through the building’s door and into the classroom, taking my seat with ten seconds to spare. The professor looked at me with an annoyed amusement. I mouthed, “Sorry.” He grabbed a pile of papers and started passing the stack around. Of course, when the alarm rang this morning, I ignored it. Until Garrett shifted over me and did things to me that brought heat to my body even now. I pushed those memories back. This wasn’t time to have a meltdown. I had an exam to focus on, which was hard to do knowing I would see Garrett again tonight.
