Watching such a strong man like Matt breaking down like this is simply heart-wrenching. There was nothing I could do or say to take his pain away, and that killed me inside as well. If I had any doubt for any reason that I loved him with all my heart, the way his pain affected me left no space for questioning.
Losing his father figure has been taking a real toll on Matt. It’s still fresh but he’s having a hard time getting out of that numb state after the pain has spread so much that there are no more tears to spill.
Three weeks have passed since that horrendous fateful day, and we’ve been visiting Liam in the hospital every day. He’s doing much better and is on his way to a full recovery, but multiple gunshot wounds are something that takes time to heal from, especially
