It’s been a month since that perfect night with Matt that ended in the worst way possible, and I’m now back on an airplane on my way to New York again.
About two days after I got home, my uncle told me he was going to retire, and that he wanted me to take his place in The Commission.
ME! He wanted me?
I was completely dumbfounded when he said that, and to be honest, I still am. I have zero expectations about the outcome of tomorrow’s meeting. There’s no way on this earth that the bunch of wise men, the good guys, the old fellas, whatever you want to call them, that were a part of The Commission, would ever allow for a woman to step inside of their domain, nevermind open the door willingly. It’s just a really f*****g long shot that I truly don’t see happening.
