Astrid's POV
“How dare you lay your filthy hands on the Luna against her will?” I spoke rudely when I found out that my stalker was Kai, the fool whom I was married to for years and was glad that the goddess removed from my life.
“You must be feeling too big right now?” He said, looking me over.
“Of course, I have a mate that treats me like a goddess, so of course, I'd feel big.” I said to him, disgusted at the sight of him.
“Astrid, you are completely shameless to hook up with my Uncle. Of all the people you could f**k, you choose to screw my Uncle? How pathetic?”
Yeah, that was him. My pathetic Ex husband.
“Yeah, he screwed me good. As you can see I'm doing better than I was when I was with you. He is the man, not a cheater and a Liar like the person I'm looking at here.”
“Astrid, you can't keep bringing up the past. That was a mistake.”
“Mistake? You mean your d**k mistakenly found its way to my cousin's p***y and every other woman you screwed when we were married?”
“I don't love her, Astrid. It's you I love.”
What a jerk!
I could remember the exact words he told me 5 years ago when he said he never loved me and now he was in love with me? After 5 years?
“Astrid, listen I was an i***t, okay? I would never have let you go but I did and I regret it everyday.”
“You are right about one thing though and that is the fact that you are an i***t. That's the only thing you've said that made so much sense.” I was about to leave but he grabbed my hands.
“Astrid, please..”
“You better let me go or I'll mind link Ethan and he'll be here in seconds and I'll tell everyone how you tried to abduct me.” I said and he let go immediately. He had always been a coward and he still was.
“The little kid.. Arianna. She's my child right?” He asked and I froze immediately but regained my composure immediately, placing my hands on my waist.
“And why do you think so?” I tried to sound as confident as possible but I was afraid he was seeing through me.
“Don't try to lie, Astrid. You know what I'm talking about. Arianna is my child and before you try to deny it, I spoke to her and asked about her birthday. The timing matches, from the time you were banished till now.”
“Didn't you call me barren when I was married to you? So what's all this talk about having a child for you? Kai, my child has a father and I'm satisfied with him.” I didn't know if my stand was firm enough but he stopped me when I tried to walk away.
“I'm sure my Uncle can't handle a young woman like you so since you have my child, I'll just divorce Charlotte and remarry you.”
Shit. I have never felt insulted like this in my entire life. I instantly sent a slap across his face which made me stutter.
“Listen to me, If I ever see you close to my child again, I'll make life more miserable than it is for you. Stick to the choice you made, you bastard.” I yelled at him and walked away.
The next morning, I found out that it was customary for all Alphas and Lunas to gather and have breakfast together. I didn't know why it was necessary to do that but Luna Jane said it was for them to bond.
I didn't want to set my eyes on Kai so I decided not to go but I learned it was a ritual that needed to be performed.
Luna Jane, even though we had meant here, has been very helpful to me and has been the one giving me tips on what to do or not since she was an elder and had more experience than I did.
When I got to the table, I searched for Ethan and I found him, seated, his eyes also in search of me. I was about to go sit down beside him when I found out that Charlotte was seated close to him.
What the hell! That b***h was not supposed to be anywhere close to me or my family. I found out that each Alpha was seated close to their mate so she was seated close to Kai by her left and Ethan by her right. I wasn't comfortable with the arrangement so I asked Luna Jane for a favor.
“Could you please switch seats with Kai and Charlotte.” She nodded, always ready to humiliate Charlotte. I loved that she was on my side.
“Kai, could you and your Luna move? We the elders would like to take this seat.” Jane said, louder than it should be.
Charlotte was about to protest when Kai pushed her to get up and the seats were switched. I smiled inwardly, getting what I wanted.
When we started eating, everyone discussed random things, throwing jokes at anyone or anything. I was glad to be here with people who mattered. Since I was a mere omega, I had dreams to be in rooms like this, I never knew it was going to happen but I guess it was worth having a dream like that.
I stared at Ethan as he smiled and discussed with his fellow Alpha. He had made my dream come through and I loved him to the moon, not just for helping me realize my dream but for loving me and making me the woman I was.
He had given me the opportunity to have my Revenge and I haven't even started with Kai and Charlotte.
“I have news to share with you all.” It was Kai and his big mouth. I wondered what was so important about his life that he wanted to share in this important place.
I looked away, I couldn't care less.
The other Alpha nodded, enjoying being encouraged to tell us his news and that was when he turned towards me.
“It happens that Luna Astrid's child is mine.”
What the actual f**k, was this guy playing with me?
