Elara looked at Victor angrily.
“What do you think you are? This is not your company, Minister. How dare you speak without my
permission?” she said coldly.
Victor calmly closed his notebook before replying.
“I understand your anger toward me,
” he said quietly.
“But this is business. We were trying to be
professional. And the last time I checked your company’s core values… it said helping one
another. Unless that rule doesn’t apply to me?”
Elara was speechless.
Victor stood up politely.
“If there is nothing else, ma’am, I would like to return to my desk.
”
He gave a small bow and walked out of the meeting room.
