Selena The white sand was scorching hot under my feet from the latent warmth of the sun. There was something to be said for the end of summer but I was too hot to find the words. I looked out longingly at the bright blue ocean. A swim in the cool refreshing water would be divine but the calm water was treacherous at this time of day and I didn’t bring any footwear to protect against the spiny, spiky sea urchins. My foot stung just from the memory of stepping on one as a child. Still… It was too hot not to at least dip my toes into the water. I made my way down to the shoreline and let the foamy water roll over my feet. The coolness brought instant relief to my sore muscles from standing and working around the vineyard all day. To my surprise, I spotted a familiar figure not too far away
