I could smell the change of air instantly the moment I got out of the car. It was thicker down south, heavy with the smell of flowers and dirt. It smelled like the countryside and it felt nostalgic in a way I didn’t expect.
Bastian gave me a stern look. “As pleased as I am for you, don’t forget that we have a lot to do. We didn’t come all the way down here just for fun.”
