The chirp on Alana’s phone woke her up. It was past dawn but she had been in a deep sleep. Although her internal clock was still set on Vienna time, about noon to her, because of the previous day’s flight and tour of Washington, not to mention the meal at the Pines of Rome and the copious wine, she fell to sleep quickly and stayed that way till the sun shone through the curtains of Priest’s condo. “Hello,” she answered slowly. “Alana.
