I anxiously glanced out the window, watching as Aiden, my older brother, made his way towards the pack house exit. My heart raced, knowing that this was my chance to slip away unnoticed.
As soon as Aiden’s figure disappeared beyond the threshold, I quietly made my way out of the pack house. The air was thick with tension, but I knew I had to keep my composure. The border patrol officers awaited me at a designated meeting spot, a secluded area on the outskirts of our territory.
