ARIELLE’S POV I frowned as my eyes fell on the familiar car. It was evident that they had Ben following me all the way since I left the store. I could only wonder what they wanted with me. I hastened my steps, determined to not let them catch up with me. But as I walked faster, the car stayed right behind me. I tried to ignore it, but I could feel and hear the car’s soft and low hum as it drove slowly beside me. I glanced over my shoulder, and my heart sank as I saw their faces in the car. Their eyes were on me, cold and unfeeling. Their faces were blank, so I could not tell what they were thinking as they were gazing at me. I wanted to scream at them. I wanted to shout, and tell them to go away and leave me alone, but I was too exhausted for that. I did not want to interact with them,
