I stood beside Enzo, gazing down at Arielle and Aiden who were seated on a blanket, seeming to be enjoying their time alone, and without us at that.
Aiden had managed to whisk Arielle away for a secret date, and there was no way I was going to let him have Arielle all to himself. The mischievous smirk on my face was matched by Enzo’s knowing grin as we contemplated joining them.
“Hey, guys,” I called out, my voice filled with playful intent. “Mind if we crash your little party?”
Aiden’s eyes narrowed, his irritation unmistakable. “Actually, we were hoping for some alone time,” he replied curtly, his voice laced with annoyance.
